I don't know if this will help you, but it worked, almost, for me. (One function -remote control still does not work).
I had the little CSR dongle and could not get it to work no matter what. It would get identified as generic bluetooth, but simply would not function.
I tried an experiment. Though I knew Broadcoms driver would not find a CSR device, their driver program had additional software which was what I was interested in.
When the I got the message 'no device found, install aborted', I went to the drectory where all their software had installed and ran the management program anyway. At first, all it did was detect my Motorala bluetooth headphones, but would flash in and out. I was pretty sleepy, so I gave up and went to bed. When I woke up, my computer had restarted and 3 of the 4 drivers my headphones needed had installed. Only the remote control function still has no driver. The 'allow a device to connect' is still greyed out, but I could pair my headphones and now when I turn them on, my computer switches from speakers to headphones and they work. Both, the mono (for skype) and stereo, for music and videos,work fine and are listed correctly as Motorola S305 Bluetooth. Whether this makes any sense I don't know, but my headphones now work, and I can play video games, listen to music or watch videos using my headphones. (just no remote play, stop, ff functions).
